james s. corrigan grew up in boston, rural maine, and moved to new york city in 2000 to study creative writing at the new school university.

while living there he has published short stories in a red line blues and collaborated with a plethora of musicians, composers and visual artists by involving himself in curating mixed media events, scoring films, scoring video installations, and fashion. james has worked regularly with the following ensembles, on/off, a three ring circus, ruby, rivers, swim, alias pail, and wool.

james has additionally participated in composed and improvised works by jim krull, quincy quartz, a glass buffalo, blues, tables, and gang gang dance's 88 drummers. he is also working on a series of hip-hop beats for rapper tremaine emory and their project inner tubes. james currently lives in brooklyn, ny with his girlfriend alexandra and is working towards composing music for commercial applications.
